Breast and general surgeons
Your breast surgeon will work with you chosing the best surgical option to treat your cancer.
After the cancerous cells are removed some women choose to have cosmetic surgery to remake their breast.
As a member of your care team, they are a central point of contact for you, to help you manage and coordinate your breast cancer care, and work through any challenges or barriers that may interfere with getting the care you need.
We offer multiple thearpy service options that include physical and occupational thearpies to help you reduce stress and to regain your strength and independence.
Your radiologist is there to explain tests such as x-rays, CT scans, and MRIs (magnetic resonance imaging). A radiologist uses these types of tests to diagnose and stage diseases.
Your medical oncologist often is the main health care provider that will treat your cancer. A medical oncologist also gives supportive care and may coordinate treatment given by other specialists. You oncologist and your cancer care team may determine and recommend the use of medicine to help battle your cancer.
Your radiation oncologist, thorugh the use of diagnostic imaging, will determine when to use radiation to maximize its effect. Radiation treaments may take place as the primary treatment for cancer, before surgery, after surgery, or in conjuction with other treatments.
A provider who can help you and your family deal with emotional and social issues. An oncology social worker can connect you with resources and help you with any insurance problems. They can also provide guidance on how to cope with cancer and how to make arrangements about your treatment.
